Projects preserved
NFT metadata is the most fragile aspect of an NFT, yet as an industry, metadata is often an afterthought.
Unfortunately, some NFT collections have already lost their metadata due to certain metadata practices, centralized servers, and abandoned communities.
To help stem this loss, Pob Studio introduces Preserve initiative, offering our expertise on NFT production to distressed artists and communities to help save your metadata.
In Collaboration With
Preservation requires a multi-faceted approach.
Here's how we do it.
Once a collection is brought to our attention, we begin our process by analyzing the contracts and metadata. We appraise how the collection can best be saved.
We are beginning to work towards our proposed solution. At this time, we are preparing public documents and reaching out to key community members to ensure the right solution is implemented.
With the supported of the community, we build new metadata, migrate metadata to the preferred decentralized medium, build new protocols, or help facilitate protocol changes.
The main work is done and the NFT collection is ready to be preserved. We work to ensure that the right community players are now responsible for the future of the collection.
What we consider when building a solution
We understand the dynamic landscape of the NFT industry. Businesses rise and fall. We are here to offer some help to those who are at risk of losing their metadata; we want to help you save your stories.
We are pragmatics. We aren't here to drum up click bait or wholly unrealistic solutions. Pob Studio is here to offer real answers, and stand ready to execute them on your behalf.
While we have the ultimate say, we are open to all concerned collections. We triage collections based on urgency, community demand, and cultural importance.
No. Preservation is an active endeavor by any community. What we offer is to kickstart that process for your community. This means if the metadata has issues, we can help fix them. If it's on a centralized server, we can help migrate it to a storage medium of choice.
No. We do not host your metadata or take admin control over your contracts. We do not offer any guarantees your metadata will be around forever, instead we help prepare the collection to be maximally successful for long term preservation.
It's free. However, we do it at the discretion of our time and other studio demands. If you like what we do, we strongly urge you to support us through our grant.
