Fully On-chain Gods & Heroes to memorialize the Merge

Merge is Pob Studio's second Epic celebrating Ethereum’s history in a collection of on-chain Gods and Heroes. With the introduction of staking and the merge to a proof of stake blockchain, this project is symbolic of brighter times for Ethereum.

8296 statues were generated from 16 Gods and Heroes with 21 unique materials and varying levels of decay in the form of 128x128 pixel art.

This project demonstrates the capability to create gas-efficient fully on-chain NFTs with updatable metadata and art that is rendered on Ethereum.

A statues' material, such as Bronze or Refined Iridium, is the core attribute determining the rarity class and the odds of each statues occurrence.

Each statue is embedded with a magical substance called mana. More rare statue types have inherently more mana to be consumed in rituals. Rituals can be performed to update the characteristics of your NFT.

Mana, magical energy coursing through statues

Statues with more mana available for consumption can perform more rituals, manipulating the attributes of your NFT and changing its appearance.

Think of mana as a RPG character stat of each statue

Number of energy trails is related to the square root of mana contained in the statue.

Calculating mana

Total Mana = Inherent + Channeled + Boost Mana

Inherent mana is determined by the statue's intrinsic rarity
Channeled mana that has been transferred through the channeling ritual
Boost mana that once was accumulated during the boost ritual
